Howard Goodall and Charles Hart’s THE DREAMING

HRH The Earl of Wessex KG, GCVO, President of both the National Youth Music Theatre and of the International Youth Arts Festival, will attend the opening night of THE DREAMING at The Rose Theatre on Tuesday July 17 at 8.00pm

The National Youth Music Theatre is returning to The International Youth Arts Festival in Kingston with its new production of THE DREAMING, a musical treatment of Shakespeare’s great comedy, with music by Howard Goodall and libretto by Charles Hart. It is directed by Jeremy James Taylor.

The cast of 44 includes Jemimah Taylor (Sylvia), Jordan Li Smith (Angel), Sam Hindmarsh, James Gulliford, Jessica Smith, Molly Lynch, Leonardo Goodall, Luke Leahey, Rupert Henderson, Henry Roadnight.

The musical director is John Pearson, choreographer is by Ewan Jones, lighting by Richard House and sound is by Charles Simpson.

The NYMT, hailed by Andrew Lloyd Webber as ‘the finest youth music theatre in the world’, first produced THE DREAMING in 2001/ 2002 at the Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House when it was universally hailed by the press. Howard Goodall’s compositions include for the Award winning series of ‘Black Adder’ The Vicar of Dibley’ and ‘Mr Bean’. Charles Hart wrote the lyrics for The Phantom of the Opera’.
