will be at The Theatre Chipping Norton from Tuesday 20 November 2012 for a seven week season to Sunday 6 Jan 2013. The press performance is Wednesday 21 November at 7.30pm.

This new version of Cinderella is written by Ben Crocker, directed by John Terry with music by Paul Kissaun. The design is by Russell Craig, with choreography by Tim Claydon, costumes by Nell Knudsen, and lighting by Amy Southeard. Peter Pontzen is the Musical Director.

Ugly sisters, handsome princes and glass slippers all feature in this story of love, laughter and wishes made true. This timeless story of rags to romance is transported to the sunlit canals and carnivals of Venice and even includes a boat race. The team that brought the stories of ‘Dick Whittington’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Ali Baba’ so successfully to life are back together again this year for Cinderella.

The cast are Lizzie Franks Cinderella, Matt Pinches Buttons, Amy Rhiannon Worth Prince Charming, Richard Croughan Tutti, Shaun Hennessy Frutti, Lauren Silver Dandini, Karen Davies Fairy Godmother/ Baroness. The production is sponsored by Kingham Hill School.

This will be the fourth pantomime by Ben Crocker for The Theatre Chipping Norton.

John Terry has been the Artistic Director since 2008. He directed ‘Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune’ by Terence McNally in September. The Theatre Chipping Norton has been nominated as Most Welcoming Theatre in the 2012 Theatre Awards UK.

This is Tim Claydon’s sixth Chippy panto. Tim has been an aerialist and trapeze artist. He has choreographed at Buxton, Garsington, Houston Grand Opera, Opera North and WNO. Russell Craig designed the double bill ‘The Maiden in the Tower’ and ‘Kashchei the Immortal’, at this year’s Buxton Opera Festival. A past member of The Flying Pickets, Paul Kissaun has composed for the Watermill and Theatre Royal Margate. His acting credits include with the RSC, National, Cheek by Jowl, Open Air Regent’s Park. Shaun Hennessy plays his 3rd Dame at Chipping Norton. Matt Pinches played Chipie the poodle in ‘Beauty and The Beast’ 2010.
