For its 10th anniversary, tranny superstars Jonny Woo, Ma Butcher and John Sizzle drag their legendary GAY BINGO show to the Hackney Empire for a one off extravaganza in celebration of a fabulous decade of cross-dressing, number-calling, card-daubing carnage.

From a small party in a backstreet bar in Brixton, Gay Bingo went on to take the TEA bar in Shoreditch by storm for three infamous years. It then got way out of control, going on to cause mayhem at the ICA, Brighton Fringe, Glastonbury, Shoreditch House, the Royal Festival Hall, the Soho Theatre, Bestival, Sydney Mardi Gras and more. So what next - the Royal Variety Show?! No! The Hackney Empire!

Now, after a month or two resting at a “spa” those troupers are back on the road! Gay Bingo comes home to Hackney in a party that re-lives its favourite and most unforgettable moments with notorious special guests, amazing prizes, jaw-droppingly slick dance routines and “69s” the likes of which East London has never seen - all heads will turn - and quite a few stomachs too.

Gay Bingo’s 10 year celebration at The Hackney Empire is definitely a coming home for the gang. Jonny has lived in the area for almost 20 years and carved out an important niche for himself in developing his performance work almost solely in the area. Andy has been resident for almost 15 years and John is native to Islington and has always had strong relations with the area.

‘“Dirty Girtie” and “Legs 11” take on a completely different sound when they're being delivered by a seven-foot vision in heels.’ – EVENING STANDARD

“There’s comedy, there’s cabaret, there’s audience choreography, there’s male stripping, props flying through the air, Prosecco flicking and some state-of-the-art bitching.” ★★★★★Gay Times Online (Jan 2013)

‘A drag queen with attitude is putting the balls back into the numbers game’ – METRO

“There’s nothing like an ensemble of messy cross-dressers paying homage to Vegas to really wow a crowd. Add a rousing game of bingo into the mix and you have one of London’s most popular monthly events.” – NEW YORK TIMES

This is a one-off celebration not to be missed, but if you're expecting us to take the game of bingo seriously, think again! It's officially the most fun you can have with a trio of bearded trannies in body shapers and pig noses, a random series of numbers and almost 1,000 other tipsy, ritzy members of the LGBTQIXYZ community, a bunch of fruity straights and a few celeb fans! Possibly with moments of spontaneous nudity - only if it's artistic, naturally…

Doors open 7.00pm
Tickets £20 - £15.
