The cast is: Joe McGann (Ant), Lysette Anthony (Bea), Susan Kyd (Ros), Joanna McCallum (Lady June), Neil Ditt (Roger), Lisa Armytage (Barrett). The comedy will be directed by James Robert Carson and designed by Katie Lias. It is produced by Evergreen Theatrical Productions Ltd in association with Jermyn Street Theatre.

The Member of Parliament played by Joe McGann is a Junior Minister in a new coalition Government. Lysette Anthony is his dizzy wife who lands him in very deep water. Why is the MP suddenly so worried? Why does his secretary act so strangely? And how have his wife’s expenses ended up in the wrong hands?

Joe McGann will be in the autumn tour of ‘Calendar Girls’. Other stage credits include in ‘Guys and Dolls’ directed by Michael Grandage, and Ray Cooney’s ‘Tom Dick and Harry’ at the Duke of York’s Theatre. He appeared in the popular ITV series ‘Night and Day’ with Lysette Anthony’ and in six series of ITV’s ‘The Upper Hand’. Lysette Anthony appeared in ‘The New Statesman’ with Rik Mayall at Trafalgar Studios. She was nominated for a Manchester Evening News Award for her role as Myra Arundel in ‘Hay Fever’ at the Royal Exchange Manchester in 2008. She was also in Woody Allen’s ‘Husbands and Wives’ with Sydney Pollack and Mia Farrow. She has just finished filming ‘Back2Hell’, a 3D Horror movie with Michael Madsen. Joanna McCallum’s credits include Lady Rumpers in Peter Hall’s revival of ‘Habeas Corpus’ by Alan Bennett and many roles in productions with the RSC and at Chichester. Lisa Armytage played Brenda Marshall in ‘Neighbours’ for 86 episodes. She also appeared in ‘Rabbit Fever’ with Tom Hollander, Tom Conti and Sienna Guillory. Her theatre roles include ‘Chains of Dew’ at the Orange Tree, Richmond. Susan Kyd appeared in the revival of ‘Total Eclipse’ at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Neil Ditt’s credits include roles in Craig Revel Horwood’s ‘Hot Mikado’ and in ‘Mary Poppins’ at the Prince Edward Theatre.

Richard Stirling is currently producing a tour of André Roussin’s ‘The Little Hut’ with Janie Dee. He wrote and produced the musical play about Jessie Matthews, ‘Over My Shoulder’, which transferred from The Mill At Sonning to Wyndham’s Theatre. His 2007 book, ‘Julie Andrews: an intimate biography’, made The Sunday Times top ten bestseller list.

James Robert Carson’s recent credits include ‘Xerxes’ for Greek National Opera and as associate to Peter Hall for Feydeau’s ‘Where There’s A Will’ at the Rose Theatre, Kingston. Katie Lias is the design assistant for ‘Flashdance’ at the Shaftesbury Theatre and for this season’s Bridge Project, directed by Sam Mendes, at the Old Vic. She has also been a design assistant at the RSC.
