Schubert/Rochberg Five years after the death of the great American composer, George Rochberg, the Kreutzers play his phenomenal 3rd Quartet, which is full of extravagant references to Mahler, Schubert and Beethoven, alongside Schubertís Death and the Maiden.

Brahms/Dvorak

New work by David Blake. Guest Artist-Rachel Meerloo-Double Bass

After the success of their performances of the Brahmsí Op 51 Quartets this spring, the Kreutzers perform his epic B Flat Quartet Op 67, alongside Dvorakís brilliant Quintet with the wonderful young bassist, Rachel Meerloo.

Bach Sonatas and Partitas

Joseph Joachim Solo Works Peter Sheppard Skśrved brings his renowned reading of the Bach solo works back to Wiltons. Peter plays on a Stradivari previously owned by the great Joseph Joachim, who famously popularised these work in the 19th Century, and whose playing and compositions had a profound influence on the work of Schumann, Mendelssohn and Brahms.

Ligeti/Haydn

Guest artists- Michael Thompson-Horn, Jan Philip Schulze-Piano

An uproarious finish to the summer series: a standoff between two Hungarians, Ligeti and Haydn. An all-start line up of players joins the Kreutzers for a unique opportunity to hear the great innovator, Haydn, go head to head with the 20th century. The greatest living horn player, Michael Thompson, is joined, for the first time, by the brilliant pianist Jan Philip Schulze, Peterís colleague in Ensemble Triolog Munich for many years.
